TCS is a Hudson Valley woodworking shop that’s been quietly building cabinetry, furniture and millwork since 2014. We work in solid hardwood, install everything ourselves, and answer our own email.
We’re a licensed and insured business based out of Newburgh, NY — serving Orange and Dutchess Counties, and most of the tri-state when the project warrants the drive.
Inside the shop
Mortise-and-tenon, dovetail, sliding dovetail — whichever the piece calls for. Hand-finished, not sprayed and shipped. We use power tools where they help and hand tools where they matter.
We work direct with homeowners, designers, architects and GCs. Two or three rounds on the design before any wood gets cut. Nobody hands the project off to a subcontractor at the install.
Solid hardwood, picked in person at lumber yards in NY and PA. We watch for moisture content, plan out grain matching, and match hardware to the piece, not the catalog.
Our shop is in Newburgh. We regularly work in Beacon, New Paltz, Fishkill, Wappingers Falls and the surrounding Orange & Dutchess county towns — close enough that the install crew is the same crew that did the measurements.
For larger commissions we travel further: Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, the Catskills, Northern NJ, Western CT. If you’re asking, we’ll tell you straight whether the drive makes sense for your project.
